Session 1: This opening session, also known as the beginning of the sleeve cycle, addresses restrictions in the ribcage and upper body in order to help free the breath. Because breathing is the primary movement of the body, any more ease that can be introduced in the normal pattern will result in more ease overall. Better breathing helps make life easier.
Session 2: Next we explore the feet and lower leg to help find a solid base of support, increase awareness of how the feet interact with the earth, and encourage better balance and stability for the whole body.
Session 4: The first of the core cycle, in this session we will work on the body’s midline, continue finding a sense of length through the front of the body, help balance the pelvis with legs, and find even more of a feeling of support from the lower body. The primary focus of this session is the inner line of the leg.
Session 5: Continuing the length up the front of the body from the last session, now we visit the abdomen, work with the psoas major, make sure the ribcage and pelvis are balanced with each other, and may work more with the shoulder girdle, arms and hands.
Session 6: We work along the back side of the body in this session, and bring length to it to match the work we did on the front. We will be making sure the sacrum is free from restrictions and functioning well in its role as keystone of the pelvis and base of the spine, lengthening the hamstrings, and working with the spine.
Session 7: This session focuses entirely on the neck and head. We work to balance the head on top of all the changes from previous sessions. Specific work with the jaw can be included.
Sessions 8-9: These two sessions balance the upper body and lower body, and begins the integration cycle of the series. This cycle of the series begins to focus even more on the connections in the body and relating everything to the whole. One of these sessions will be upper body work, while the other will focus on the lower body. The order of these two sessions will be specific to your needs.
Session 10: This session brings us to the close of our journey. In this time we wrap up all the work that we have done together, and make sure you are prepared for your next phase of continuing to learn, explore, and be able to maintain the changes we've made. Most importantly, it is time for you to just enjoy living in your body.
